Sharon Hanks passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 10th in the Walker-Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jason Goodell officiating. Interment will be in the Ochelata Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

Gypsy Sharon Hanks was born March 11, 1938 in Henryetta, OK to Harrell Andrew and Marjorie Agnes (Higbee) Grider. She married Nelson Hanks on October 15, 1977 in Dewey, OK. Sharon worked for many years at Reda Pump as an inspector. She loved cooking, baking, fishing and camping, but most of all, she was a terrific daughter, mother and grandmother.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Nelson Hanks of the home. Two sons; Bill McGuire and wife Lynne of Nowata, Pete McGuire of Tulsa, daughter, Carla Reddout of Bartlesville, step-daughter, Krista Mitchell and husband Roger of Henryetta and brother, Robert Grider of Mission, TX. She was blessed with numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, son, Rusty McGuire and daughter, Theresa Layson.
