SKELLYTOWN - B.N. Porter, 73, died Friday, March 15, 2002.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Llano East Cemetery of
Amarillo with the Rev. Kelly R. Barrow officiating. Graveside rites are courtesy
of Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge No. 1355 of Borger. Arrangements are by
Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.
Mr. Porter was born July 16, 1928, in Vernon. He lived in Skellytown and
Borger most of his life. He was a veteran of the Army serving during the
Korean Conflict. He worked for Phillips Petroleum for 32 years. He was a
member of Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge No. 1355 in Borger.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha; a son, James Porter of Perryton; a stepson,
Ronnie Wilson of Amarillo; three brothers, Grady Porter of Bartlesville, Okla.,
Claude Porter of Balmorhea and Billy Porter of Dallas; a sister, Ann Gubala of
Dallas; a granddaughter, Curry Lane Porter of Pampa; and a grandson, Bobby
Jack Porter of Pampa.
The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, 800 N. Sumner, Pampa,
TX 79065.
