Graveside services will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Tuttle Cemetery in Tuttle, Oklahoma with Rev. Steve Byrd pastor of the South Lee United
Methodist Church in Oklahoma City officiating. Services and arrangements are under
the direction of the Walker-Brown Funeral Home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Mr. Coates was born on February 9, 1907 in Garland, Texas to Kenneth and Delphia (Pickett) Coates. He was self-employed in the radio and television
business for many years in southwest Oklahoma City until his retirement. He and Maida
L. Sipe were married on July 8, 1929 in Minco, Oklahoma. Mr. Coates has
resided in Bartlesville for the past two years after moving from Oklahoma city to
be close to his daughter Nita Wakeley.
Survivors include a son C.F. Coates and his wife Clarisse of Binghamton, New York, daughter Nita Kidd Wakeley and her husband Duane of Bartlesville, sister
Ruth Henderson of Tuttle, six grandchildren Tania Kidd of Palm Desert,
California, Kevin and his wife Kym Kidd of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, Juliana Coates of
Binghamton, New York, Luci Coates of Binghamton, New York, Eric and Philip
Coates, three step grandchildren John Wakeley of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, Barbara
Jagnarine and husband Indar of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Ruth Wakeley-Hines
of Hutchenhausen, Germany, two great grandchildren Erica M. Long and husband
Nick of Kingfisher, Oklahoma and Aaron Kidd of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, seven
step great grandchildren Selena, Darin, Anisha and Matthew Jagnarine of Palm
Beach Gardens, Florida, Tyler Wakeley-Hines of Hutchenhausen, Germany, Sandi
Wakeley of Monaca, Pennsylvania and Brianna Wakeley of Oakdale, Pennsylvania, one
