Emogene (Emmy) Yorman

Emogene (Emmy) Yorman, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away peacefully on June 12th, 2012 with loving family and friends by her side. She came into this life on June 24th, 1919, the second of five children born to David and Mary Smith of Berwyn, Illinois. Emmy was a much-loved and admired kindergarten teacher in Homewood, IL for thirty-two years. On August 8, 1977 she married Alex Yorman of Bartlesville and made her home here until moving to Arizona in 1991.
Surviving Emmy are her daughter, Donna Locke of Scottsdale, AZ; her sister, Marjorie Owen of Rolling Hills Estates, CA and Alex's children, Patty Yorman of Tucumcari, NM; Beth Nickel of Oakville, CA; Mark (Traci) Yorman of Bartlesville, OK; Mary (Bob) Esposito of Rossmoor, CA; Rick (Diana) Yorman of Owasso, OK; and Kathy (Larry) Liebert of Delaware, OH. She was a very dear grandmother to seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life was held at Life Care Center of Scottsdale on June 15th, 2012.
