Edwin "Ed" Clinton Young
December 4, 1935 - February 26, 2022
Edwin Clinton Young (Ed) was born December 4th, 1935 in Miles, Oklahoma to Edwin T. and Grace F. Young. Eddie, as he was known in his early years, started school in a one room building in Miles, OK. The following year he moved to Centralia where he played baseball and graduated high school with honors in 1953. He held the seat of class president for three years.
He spent his grade school years working for ranchers and alongside his dad in the livestock business. Following graduation, he moved to Bartlesville where he went to work for sixteen years at Phillips 66. Upon leaving Phillips Ed entered the rental business which transitioned him into his building and developing company in the local area.
He married his wife Jackie in June of 2000. He loved traveling the world with her and friends. He took many ski trips throughout the years. Ed spent his free time fishing at his cabin and watching sports. In December 2018 he decided to retire and manage his commercial rental properties. Ed was an incredibly hard worker who has left footprints all around Bartlesville. He will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.
Ed was survived by his wife Jackie Young, his sister KJ, and his sister-in-law Peggy Young. His five children, three sons, Clint Young, Doug Young and wife Laura, Kevin Smith and wife Andrea. Two daughters, Tonya and husband Jon Schuckman, Sandra Conway. Eight grandchildren, Cameron and Parker Conway, Chase and Makenzie Young, Michael Smith, Reid, Beckett and Thatcher Schuckman along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Services will be held for Ed Young at First United Methodist Church, Thursday March 3rd at 10:00am. 4715 Price Road, Bartlesville OK.
Pallbearer's will be: Craig Demuth, Roger Skelly, Mark McKinnon, David Vanhorn, Jim McKinnon, David Weldon, George Tarbox.
