Surrounded by her family, Pauline Rose Rowell Groves Wendling slipped peacefully out of this world to the spiritual world on January 6, 2017.

Pauline Rose Rowell Groves Wendling was born on May 18, 1919 to Sam and Mary (Breiner) Rowell in Paulson, Montana. She graduated Salutatorian in 1938 from the school in Shields, North Dakota. She worked at the rectory of St. John Church for a short period of time after retirement where Fr. O'Neil introduced her to Oscar Wendling. Pauline and Oscar were married in Gulf Shores, Alabama in 1985.

After retirement, Pauline did the things she loved; traveled the country, gardened, read and wrote poetry, and spent time with her grandchildren. From a very early age, she loved to cook. She was a great cook and made wonderful family meals. She was a long-time member of Belle's of Ireland Garden Club and St. John's Women's Association.
