DAVIS FAMILY FUNERAL HOME
DEWEY, WASHINGTON CO, OK
(permission granted)

Janice Marie Rosko, 69, of Bartlesville, died Wednesday in Bartlesville.

Janice was born in Joplin, MO, to Walter and Phyllis (Parker) Faulkner, on Sept. 26, 1947. She attended Joplin High School and later moved to northeast Oklahoma to live with her grandmother. She had actually met her future husband Bobby Gene Rosko when she was a child, then was reintroduced to him as a teenager. Janice and Bobby were married on Dec. 20, 1965, in Nowata, OK. Janice stayed home to care for their kids while they were growing up and she was active in their many kid activities. She was a Sunday school teacher at New Life Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved her church family and loved teaching her class. The children adored her as well. Presentations were created for the children to do at the holidays. She spent considerable time inventing different projects for the lessons and creating items with the children to take to nursing homes.

Janice had many passions in life. Other than Bobby and her kids, she enjoyed playing bingo, sewing and doing arts and crafts. Her hands stayed busy, sometimes making bird houses and painting stepping stones to grace the home and garden. She also was active with the Eagles Ladies Lodge and the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. Once Bobby retired, the couple spent more time at the lake, going on long car rides and just enjoying spending time together.

After some 50 years of marriage, Bobby preceded her in death almost two years ago.

Janice is survived by her son Danny Rosko; her daughter Tamatha “Tammy” and Tim Vaughn; five grandchildren Tara and Steven Silver, Jacob and Olivia Rosko, Alan and Shawnda Rosko, Emily Rosko and Michael Hibben, and Katie Vaughn; four great grandchildren, Shaylee, Brody, Noah, Natalie and one on the way, as well as a “full card” of family and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday 11-5 and Sunday 12-5 at the Davis Family Funeral Home, 918-534-3030, 113 S. Osage (Hwy. 75), Dewey.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, July 31, at the New Life Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Rev. Connie McCray officiating.

Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home.

Online condolences and remembrances may be shared with Janice’s family at www.davisfamilyfuneralhome.com
