Don left his earthly home on Sunday, January 13th following emergency surgery.

He was born in Wichita, Kansas and graduated from North High where he was the quarterback of the football team and also a basketball player. He is a graduate of Wichita University. Claudie and Don began their lifelong love affair when they married in November of 1958. Don’s work with Phillips Petroleum took them to many exciting locations, including London, England, New York City, Kansas City and San Francisco but always to return to the city they loved best, Bartlesville, OK. Retiring in 1992 made way for traveling and his lifelong passion for golf. Their children and grandchildren brought him great joy.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, his grandson, Michael and many extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his son, Doug, his daughter, Terye, a granddaughter, Kellye and a brother, George.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to First Presbyterian Church, 505 Dewey or to a charity of your choice.

Services will be held at First Presbyterian Church on Thursday, January 17 at 11 AM.

Private interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
