Herbert G. Morris, age 97 and Bartlesville resident, passed away at his home on Sunday, February 18, 2018.

Herbert Gordon Morris was born on October 17, 1920 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Thomas A. Morris and Alice B. (Biddle) Morris. He was raised in Canton, Ohio where he received his education, graduating high school in Canton in June of 1939. He continued his education by attending Kent State University.
Herb served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII for four years. He was recalled in 1951 to the Air Force during the Korean conflict for two years. He remained in the Air Force Reserve until retirement.
On June 24, 1944, Herbert and Patricia Sue Gilson were united in marriage in Pawhuska. She preceded him in death and he continued his residence in Bartlesville. Herb visited Pat at the cemetery every day that he was able.
Herb was employed with Phillips Petroleum Company as an accountant. He retired after many years of loyal service.
Herb was a member of the Retired Officers Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents; eight of his siblings; and his wife, Patricia Sue. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 22, in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home chapel. Deacon Dan Pickett will lead the Rosary.

The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 23, in the St. John Before the Latin Gate Catholic Church, 715 S. Johnstone Ave. Father Juan Grajeda will be the celebrant. Dedication of the grave, committal prayers, and interment will be directed in the Memorial Park Cemetery by the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home.
