Barbara Ann Magness, age 77, and longtime
Bartlesville resident, passed away on January 10,
2016 in Jane Phillips Medical Center.
Barbara Ann Scott was born on February 15, 1938 in
Bartlesville. She was the daughter of Anthony W.
Scott and Vivian Mae (Roop) Scott. Early in her
life, she and her family moved to Missouri where
they lived until moving back to the Bartlesville
area.
Barbara married C. Thomas Kean in Bartlesville in
1955. She later married Joseph Magness in Mobile,
Alabama in 1972 and he preceded her in death in
1975.
Barbara attended St. John Catholic Church,
Bartlesville, and Our Lady of Guadalupe Church,
Dewey, Oklahoma. She was employed with Elder Care of
Bartlesville for many years. She enjoyed many things
and always enjoyed life to its fullest. She leaves
behind a loving family, as well as many, many
friends and acquaintances.
Survivors include two sons, David Thomas Kean of
Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and Joseph Floyd Magness
and his wife, Jody, of Dewey: and one daughter,
Shelly Sue Stubbs and her husband, Paul, of Oklahoma
City.
A Rosary will be said on Friday at 7:00 PM in the
Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home, 710 S. Dewey
Ave, Bartlesville.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM
in Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 400 W. 9th St.,
Dewey, Oklahoma. Interment will follow the service
on Saturday in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Arnold
Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home. Condolences may be
