Mrs. Leah "Marguerite" (Bolinger) Johnson, 96, of Bartlesville, died at 8:40 P.M. at the home of her son on Friday, December 2, 2016.

Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. on Thursday, December 8, 2016 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Casey Parham of the First Christian Church in Dewey officiating.

Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Mrs. Johnson was born at Ada, Oklahoma on March 15, 1920 the daughter of William Lester Edwards and Lena Maude (Conlee) Edwards. She moved to Bartlesville with her family as a child and she grew up and received her education in Bartlesville. She was married to Percy G. Bolinger in 1948 at her parent's home on Persimmon Hill in Osage County west of Bartlesville. They made their life in Bartlesville all of their married life. She was employed at Griggs Photography Studio and later Winston's Photography as a photography re-toucher. She later became employed as a cafeteria worker at the Sooner High School cafeteria.

Mr. Bolinger preceded her in death on February 3, 1984 and she continued her home in Bartlesville. She was married to Melvin Wade Johnson and he preceded her in death on January 5, 2010.

She was active as an artist her whole life in various mediums such as woodcarving, China painting as well as oils, water color and pastels. She continued taking art classes until she was well into her nineties and had been making entries in the Washington County Fair for over 50 years. She was a member of the Dewey First Christian Church, Pallet Pals Club, The Rose Society, "The Little Red Hens" Red Hat Society, and active in the Washington County Adult Center activities.

Survivors include her daughter, Marla Chesser and husband Jerry of Menifee, California, her son, Robert Bolinger and wife Glenda of rural Nowata, six grandchildren, Justin Chesser, Jondrea (Chesser) Crawford, Michael Bolinger, Holley Bolinger, Roger Bolinger, and Hannah Bolinger, numerous step grandchildren from her marriage to Melvin Wade Johnson, and six great grandchildren, Angelina Guarisco, Jacob Guarisco, Brandon Kolvick, Zane Corkery, Edison Crawford and Ian Crawford.

In addition to both of her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Bill Edwards, one sister, Catherine Heyl and one great granddaughter, Elizabeth Crawford.
