Idabel Hoffman, 97, retired supervisor for Southwestern Bell, passed away in Owasso on Friday, August 3, 2018.

Idabel was born on the family ranch in Osage County on October 29, 1920, to parents Floyd and Lottie (Boulanger) Ross.
Idabel was a gifted dancer and was invited to be a Ballerina in Paris, though her mother wouldn’t give the necessary permission. Idabel loved dancing her entire life and was a quite accomplished Ballroom dancer that won numerous competitions. She competitively ballroom danced into her 70’s. Idabel married Paul Nolden in 1944. Though the marriage ended in divorce, a daughter Paula was born from this union. In 1954, she wed Elvyn Roe Hoffman and another child, Ross, was born.

Elvyn preceded her in death in 1983.

Idabel is survived by her children Paula Spivey and husband Joe of Sharpsburg, Georgia; and Ross Hoffman of Owasso, Oklahoma; by her Grandchildren Tammy Reiger of Palmetto, Georgia; Todd Reiger of Sharpsburg, Georgia; and John Ross Hoffman of Claremore, Oklahoma; by her Great Grandchildren Justin Reiger of Sharpsburg, Georgia; and Kelsi Haach of Palmetto, Georgia; by her Great Great Grandchildren Jace Reiger of Sharpsburg, Georgia; and Savannah Reiger of Sharpsburg, Georgia.

Graveside rites will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2018, at Bartlesville’s Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverend James D. Lacey officiating.
