August 16, 1931 - January 27, 2024

Saturday, January 27, 2024, the Good Lord took our "Nana" home. Ina Lorene Houston, 92, died in Dodge City, KS, surrounded by her family.

She was born August 16, 1931, to Opal Irene Osborn in Seminole, OK. She married Bobby Gene Houston on December 2, 1950, in Sherman, TX. She enjoyed over 70 years of marriage to Bob. She faithfully supported Bob while he served in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1955. They made their home in Bartlesville, OK, where Lorene devoted her time to raising their daughter and son. Bob and Lorene were active in the church, loving on many, but especially dear friends they made leading a singles group at Highland Park Baptist. They later found a home at Bartlesville Southern Baptist. Lorene worked at the Red Cross for several years before retiring. During her retirement she served faithfully at Voice of the Martyrs in Bartlesville, OK. She loved her family and friends well. She will be remembered for her generosity and hospitality. We all will do our best to replicate the greatest recipes for Thanksgiving dressing and chocolate pie. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include one daughter Susie Stelle and husband Greg of Dodge City, KS; one son Mick Houston and wife Sarah of Boerne, TX; three granddaughters Kara Hutson and husband Bryce of Lake Worth, FL; Megan Kleven and husband Wade of Dodge City, KS and Hannah Houston of Columbia, TN; six great grandchildren Zane, Gemma, Ruth & Abe Hutson of Lake Worth, FL and Autumn & Kurtis Kleven of Dodge City, KS.
