Sidney Lee Conine, 74, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, died Wednesday, May 12, 2021.

Sid was born June 28, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to parents Lester Leon and Ruby (Hess) Conine. He attended Edison Memorial High School until joining the Navy in 1965. He served during the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart Medal and a Bronze Star. After he received his honorable discharge, Sid went to work for National Zinc. He worked there as a diesel mechanic for many years before retiring. Sid married Linda Kaye Wray on December 9, 1967. The couple enjoyed 53 years together. He enjoyed fishing, water skiing, riding motorcycles and Corvettes, although he received his greatest joy from spending the summers with the grandkids.

Sid was preceded in death by his mother, father and brothers Lester Conine and George Conine.

He is survived by his wife Linda, of the home; daughter Kim Earley and husband Steve Earley Jr., of Bartlesville; granddaughter Sydney Earley; grandson Silas Earley; sister-in-law Brenda Coppedge; brother-in-law Dean Coppedge; siblings Dixie, Kim, Connie, and Kent; nephew Robert Mays; niece Tami Snodgrass and numerous other nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Graveside services, with full military honors, will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 10am at Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor James Lacey officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making donations, in Sid’s name, to the Ramona American Legion.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
