Dorothy Rosetta Stockstill Collins, 97, left this life to meet her Savior on March 5, 2016.

She was born June 29, 1918 to Daniel and Mary (McCumber) Stockstill in Branson, MO at what is now Stockstill Park. The first of 12 children, Dorothy helped on the family farm where she started cooking at a young age which inspired her love of the outdoors.
After high school, Dorothy waitressed at the Branson Café and later worked at Welch's Hardware Store. On Feb. 10, 1947, she married James Truman Collins. They made their home in Branson before moving to Tulsa in 1956 and Barnsdall in 1957. In 1973 they moved to Bartlesville where they spent their remaining years.
Her greatest joys were her family, flower and vegetable gardening, sewing, watching baseball, and playing cards. She was an exceptional listener and always had a kind word to say.

Surviving are siblings, Helen Jamison, Jean Ann Denham (Jim), and Julia Gage (Kerry); her children, Shirley Herren (Howard) of Ramona, Mary Paslay (Horace) of Talala, Evelyn Rogers (Quintin) of Siloam Springs, and Don Collins (Janie) of Nowata; grandchildren, Christina Groom, Everett Lowry (Misty), Heath Rogers (Christy), Jenny Peters (Nathan), Becky Berg (Michael), Michael Collins, Angela Jordan, Cathy Carr (Chad), and Janet Herren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Thomas Jr., Edwin, Bob, Harry, Mack, Betty, Earl, and Jane; husband Truman; and great-grandson Kyle Kerr.

The family will greet friends on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 from 5 pm – 7 pm. The Funeral service will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Journey Home at 3406 SE Kentucky Rd, Bartlesville, OK, 74006 or www.thejourneyhomeok.com.
