Kathleen Lucille (Stark) Coleman (1915 - 2012) Lucille S. Coleman, 97, a long-time resident of Dewey and Bartlesville, Oklahoma died Sunday, December 16, 2012 at her residence.
Kathleen Lucille Stark was born April 27, 1915 in Dewey, Oklahoma, the daughter of Albert D. and Anna (Miller) Stark. Lucille grew up and received her education in Dewey, graduating with the Dewey Senior High School class of 1932. Following her high school graduation, Lucille attended classes at the Bartlesville Business College and quickly secured employment with the Phillips Petroleum Company of Bartlesville. Lucille began work on January 1, 1933 in the Patent Department and later in Fractionation Research. She retired with the company in 1984.
Lucille was united in marriage to Howard Coleman on September 6, 1936. They made their home in Dewey and later in Bartlesville. Lucille had been a member of the Dewey First Baptist Church since the age of seven. She had also been a member of the Jane Phillips Sorority. Lucille loved travel and collecting. Mostly, she enjoyed spending time with her family, church family and friends. Donations in Lucille's memory may be made to the First Baptist Church of Dewey, Building Fund, 300 E. 10th Street, Dewey, OK 74029 or to Cornerstone Hospice, 3414 S.E. Kentucky, Bartlesville, OK 74006 or to the charity of your choice.
Lucille was preceded in death by: her parents and her husband. She is survived by: cousins: Gretchen Meeske of Pompano Beach, FL; James W. "Jim" Miller and wife Louise of Bartlesville; James W. "Bill" Miller of Augusta, GA; Bobby Lou Miller Graham of Dewey, OK; Marguerite Miller Goens of Cedar Crest, NM; Jane Miller of Tulsa; nephew: DeWayne Roberts of Lexington, KY; nieces: Betty Lytle of Bartlesville, OK and Beverly Bale of Stillwater, OK; godchild, Dee Donaldson Emrich of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
Services to honor Lucille will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Dewey. Committal services will be held at the Memorial Park of Bartlesville. Services are under the direction of the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home of Bartlesville. Online condolences may be left at Honoring Memories
