Mr. Homer Edward Baker, 92, resident of Bartlesville, died at 12:20 AM on Monday in the Heritage Villa Nursing Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday in the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Darryl Wootton assisted by Chuck Shreffler of Ochelata, officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home.

A memorial has been established and those who wish to make a contribution in memory of Mr. Baker may do so to: Youth Ministries C/O First Assembly of God Church 900 SE Dewey Ave. Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74003.

Casket escorts will include; Joe Sinclair, Coby Wayne Sinclair, Steve Stitt, Larry Hutchinson, Randy Standridge and Donny Mabry.

Mr. Baker was born January 21, 1912 at Licking, Missouri to Enos and Savannah (Self) Baker. He was raised and received his education near Licking, Missouri moving to Bartlesville, Oklahoma at age seventeen. Mr. Baker was a personal friend and chauffeur for Mr. and Mrs. Frank Phillips prior to his employment with Phillips Petroleum Company where he worked for thirty-six years in the transportation department. Mr. Baker was married to Margie Blanche Hutchinson on September 4, 1934 at Tulsa, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on April 29, 1989. Mr. Baker was married to Lucille Phillips on November 22, 1989 at Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Mr. Baker was a longtime member of the First Assembly of God Church in Bartlesville.

Survivors include his wife Lucille Baker of Bartlesville; one son Wayne Edward Baker also of Bartlesville; one daughter Darlene Margie Stewart of Pittsburg, Kansas; one brother Arthur Baker of Anamosa, Iowa; one sister Elizabeth "Betty" Truesdell of Iowa City, Iowa; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and ten brothers.
