Lloyd Beckwith Buffham
October 19, 1931 - January 29, 2022

Lloyd was born October 19th, 1931, in Van Buren, Arkansas and passed away January 28th, 2022 at his home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He graduated from Van Buren High School in 1949 and then went to work for Phillips Petroleum in Borger, Texas. He was called and served in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Boxer CVA-21 during the Korean War. After his Naval service he returned to Borger, Texas and married Nancy Morris in 1957. Lloyd and Nancy started a family and had 3 children. He continued working for Phillips Petroleum in the computing department. Then transferred to Kansas City then to Bartlesville, Ok.

Lloyd worked for Phillips Petroleum for over 35 years before retiring, then worked for a few years with Washington County. He and his family were active members in the First Baptist Church as a Deacon and on various church committees.

He loved his dogs, both Dachshunds and Shelties. He enjoyed traveling and driving, and after officially retiring, he drove for local auto dealerships. He loved vacationing on Sanibel Island with his family.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nancy Buffham. His sister in-law and brother-in-law Gail and Alan Drennan. Brother in-law and sister in-law Harvey and Francis Morris. His sister and Brother in-law Cora and Bill Mitchell. His daughters Christi Buffham and Karen Smith, and son Scott Buffham. His grandchildren Karisa and Brandon Friend, Kendra South, and Daylen and Jordan Ballew, William and Kotone Smith, and Timberly and Randall Hodges, Alex and Austin Buffham, 11 Great grandchildren Kira, Bella and Brody Friend. Bryant Smith and Ayden Hodges. Maylee Steele, Madison and Macie Ballew. Nephews Mark and Blane. Nieces Jennie and Billie Jo and Amy.

He will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville, OK.
