Larry Calvin Miller, 57, longtime Bartlesville resident and co-pastor of the Warriors for Christ Church in Bartlesville, went to be with his Savior on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 as a result of injuries sustained in a traffic accident south of Bartlesville on US Highway 75.
Funeral services for Larry will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday at the Lyon Fine Arts Chapel on the Campus of Oklahoma Wesleyan University with Rev. Russell Fincher and Pastor Munya Takawira officiating. A private family interment will be held at the Dewey Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
A memorial fund has been established and those who wish may send their contributions to the Larry Miller Memorial Fund, c/o Bank of Oklahoma, 3815 S.E. Frank Phillips Blvd., Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74006.
Larry was born in Bartlesville on September 29, 1957 the son of Jimmie Gordon Miller and Bonnie Glendoris (Spears) Miller. He grew up and received his education in Bartlesville graduating from Sooner High School in 1975. He had been employed at Reda Pump for 10 years and also owned and operated Hi Pro Fitness Center in Bartlesville and then was a co-owner of Mobile Magic. He was then employed on cleaning crews at Oklahoma Wesleyan University and at Jane Phillips Medical Center until becoming involved in the roofing industry in which he was still active. In June of 2000 he was a founder of the Warriors for Christ Church in Bartlesville and served as the co-pastor. He was married to Michelle Lee Fincher on June 18, 1994 in Bartlesville and they have made their home in Bartlesville since that time. He was active in jail ministries, organizing motorcycle ministries such as "Sons of Thunder" bike rallies. He always wanted everyone to feel special and had an incredible outreach and was especially known for his unconditional love.
Larry is survived by his wife, Michelle Lee Miller of Bartlesville, one daughter, Jamie Marie Miller of Bartlesville, his mother, Bonnie G. Miller of Bartlesville, one brother, Terry Ray Miller and wife Tina of Bartlesville, one sister, Renee Toulouse of Bartlesville, 11 nieces and nephews, Tiffany Miller, Taylor Miller, Spencer Toulouse, Ashley Lightfoot and husband Aaron, Paden Fincher, Samuel Fincher, Alyra Fincher, Harold Parker Fincher, Lillie Fincher, Wyatt Fincher and Lane Fincher, and numerous great nieces and nephews, his father-in-law, Larry Fincher and wife Debbie of Caney, Kansas, his mother-in-law, Joan Fincher of Phoenix, Arizona, and brother-in-laws, Tim Fincher and wife Andie of Coweta, Stephen Fincher and wife Linda of Dewey and Russell Fincher and wife Krista of Clayton, Okla. He was preceded in death by his father Jimmie Gordon Miller in 1979.
