Mr. Charles Eugene Anderson, 71, of Wewoka and formerly of Copan, died at 10:09 A.M. on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at the Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Dewey Cemetery with Pastor Russell Ryker of the Hilltop Family Life Center in Wewoka officiating and directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
A memorial has been established and those who wish may send their contributions to the Hilltop Family Life Center, P.O. Box 776, Wewoka, Oklahoma, 74884.
Mr. Anderson was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on September 13, 1941 the son of Willie C. (Bill) Anderson and Dorothy M. (Watkins) Anderson. He grew up in the area north of Copan and graduated from Copan High School. He was then employed with Reda Pump Co and a machinist and later as an inspector until his retirement in the early 1990's. He then relocated to Bowie, Texas and then Wewoka, Oklahoma for the past several years. He was a member of the Hilltop Family Life Center in Wewoka and he enjoyed raising cattle, especially longhorns and going to cattle sales. He also enjoyed reading his Bible and his church family at Wewoka.
Mr. Anderson is survived by one daughter, April Rashell Smith and her husband Jack of Bartlesville, two sons, Charlie Eugene Anderson Jr. of Copan and James Gary Anderson of Independence, Kansas, four grandchildren, Olivia Smith, Kaitlyn Smith, Nicholas Smith and Corbin Anderson and a number of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
