Lifetime Dewey Resident, Michael Evan Notley was born September 8, 1949 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Melvin Edward and Lois Alene (Johnson) Notley. He passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Michael graduated Dewey High School class of 1967. After graduation, he went to work as an oilfield driller and was later employed by Jane Phillips Medical Center as a maintenance man, where he later retired. On June 1, 1979, Michael was united in marriage to Shirley Dixon in Dewey, Oklahoma. Michael attended the Free Will Baptist Church in Copan, Oklahoma and was a member of Bluestem Baptist Church in Dewey.

Michael is survived by his wife of 38 years, Shirley Notley; seven children, Patty Martin-Marchant and her husband, Bill of Dewey, Michael Evan Notley Jr. and his wife, Tammy of Montana, David Patrick Notley of Michigan, Victoria Nicole Martin and husband, Aaron of Bartlesville, Samantha Renea Smith and husband, Thomas of Dewey, Kyle Matthew Martin of Dewey, and Kenny Dixon and wife, Lori of Bartlesville; one brother, Ed Notley of Grand Lake, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Davis Family Funeral Home from 11am to 3pm.

Graveside services will be 2pm, Monday, January 30, 2017 at Dewey Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Davis Family Funeral Home.
