DAVIS FAMILY FUNERAL HOME
DEWEY, WASHINGTON CO, OK
(permission granted)

Robert Lee Harris Jr., 66, of Wann, died Wednesday in Bartlesville.

Bob was born the son of Robert Lee Sr. and Phala Pauline (Garrett) Harris on March 26, 1949, in Poteau, OK. When Bob was little, his family moved to California for a few years before returning to the Bartlesville area. Bob attended school with the College High Class of 1967. He started his career in construction with his father at the age of 16. On April 4, 1969, Bob was united in marriage with Donna Cannady and together they operated Harris Furniture Striping and Antiques. Two beautiful children were born to this union. Later in life Bob moved to Oologah and returned to the area in 2007 to Wann where he began to build his own home. He had built several homes himself in the past including one for his daughter.

Bob had many passions in life and they all involved being on the go – the man just never stopped. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He raised many exotic animals over the years including a pesky ferret. Antiquing and junking were tailor-made for his energetic personality and he was good at wheeling and dealing. He knew how to spot collectible guns and was always on the lookout for a good deal or a rare find. Most of all he was always ready to help a friend or a stranger when times were hard. Bob will be dearly missed by Brian and Michelle.

Bob is survived by his two children, Brian Harris and Christa of Wann, and Michelle Harris of Dewey; one brother Jack Harris and Lee of Bartlesville; two sisters Pat Harris and Luann Crowell of Miami; and four grandchildren, Destanie Harris, Makayla Logan, Addison Harris and Tamber Harris.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Bob’s family will receive friends at the Davis Family Funeral Home, 918-534-3030, 113 S. Osage (Hwy. 75), Dewey, on Sunday, March 6, from 3-5 p.m. Visitation will also be held Sat 12-5 and Sunday 12-5.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Monday, March 7, at the Dewey First Church of God. Interment will follow in the Dewey Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home. Online condolences and remembrances may be shared with Bob’s family at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com.
