Laymon F. Fears Jr., 96, of Bartlesville, passed away Saturday, August 18 at his home with his son by his side.

Jr. was preceded in death by his first wife, Tula Mae, and wife Aileen, brother, Billy Jack, sister, Juanita, parents, Layman Sr. and Cora, and step dad, Cleo.

Jr. was a World War II Veteran, U.S. Army Air Corp, longtime retiree of National Zinc. Jr. was a country music lover and musician, loved to fish and be on his land and around his oil wells.

Jr. is survived by son, Clyde and his wife Sharon, grandsons, Chris and wife Stephanie and Cody and wife Andrea, great grandsons, Chance and wife Callie, Colby and numerous nieces and nephews,, Aileen’s children. Jr. was a great father, grandfather and a kind and generous man. He will be greatly missed by family and all whom he knew.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that a memorial gift for medical expenses be given for Danny Lee, as he has been diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. The memorial fund is set up at Truity Federal Credit Union, titled Danny and Dana Lee.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the Dewey Cemetery Pavilion with his grandson, Pastor Cody Lane Fears of Glen Elder, Kansas officiating. Military rites are to be accorded at the graveside and services are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home& Crematory.
