Kathryn Wynola Eden, 95, of Bartlesville, died Saturday in Bartlesville.

Kathryn was born the daughter of Charles and Florence (Tiffee) Stokes on Oct. 8, 1922, in Alicia, Arkansas. When she was young, the family moved to Miami, OK, where she attended and graduated high school in 1941. In 1955, she moved to Bartlesville and started her 20-plus year career at Union National Bank as an Executive Secretary. She then went to work for Phillips Petroleum Co as a secretary until she retired.

Kathryn had lifelong passions for reading and listening to music, mostly gospel and country. She enjoyed traveling and took many bus tours over the years. In retirement she lived on the farm with Dick where they raised cattle and the grandkids loved to play. Shortly before Dick passed in 2010 she moved to the senior apartments where she lived until just recently and made many wonderful friends along the way. Kathryn was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Bartlesville and also attended Happy Hill regularly.

Kathryn is survived by her loving daughter and son in law Georgia and Oscar Villarreal of Dewey; three stepchildren, Bill Eden and Donna of Ramona, Kenny Eden and Angela of Ochelata, and Judy Rich of Arizona; one granddaughter Rebecca Thornbrugh and Ken of Dewey; four great grandchildren, Landon Thornburgh, Jenna Thornbrugh, Brandon Truitt, and Kirbie Hutchison and Donovan; five great great grandchildren and one great great great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by three husbands, George Foust, Max DeMeritt, and Pharis Dick Eden; one brother Royce Stokes; one granddaughter Deborah Truitt; and one stepchild Jean Putnam.

Visitation will be held Wed., Oct. 18, 10-8.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Salvation Army Womens’s Auxiliary, 101 N. Bucy Ave, Bartlesville, OK 74003.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, at the Davis Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplin Jsue Wagner officiating.

Interment will be at the Dewey Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home.
