Sherman Edward Boling Jr. was born on March 7, 1942, in Bartlesville to Sherman Edward Boling Sr. and Mildred (Hauser) Boling. He went from this life to be with his Lord and Savior January 25, 2019.

Sherman attended College High School in Bartlesville before joining the Marines on April 27, 1959. He was honorably discharged on April 26, 1965, after faithfully serving his country and countrymen. Sherman met the love of his life Donna Cunningham and they were married on March 17, 1967 in Miami, OK.

Sherman had many passions in life from stock car racing to golf, fishing and boating. He enjoyed being active and staying busy. Sherman and Donna relocated to Edmond, OK, after retiring from Reda Pump in Bartlesville in 1999. He continued working and finished his working career with Woodgroup E.S.P. in Purcell, OK, finally retiring in 2008.

Sherman is survived by his wife of 50 years, Donna Boling; and children, Chad Boling of Edmond, OK, Scott Boling, daughter Sally Damazio and husband John, Cindy Drees, Tina Huff and husband James, all from Arizona; as well as brother John Boling of Broken Arrow, sister Jean Priest of Spencer, OK, and sister Joan Baughman and husband Dudley of Bartlesville; his very close cousin Melvin Boling of Derby, KS; along with many other cousins and loving in-laws.

Sherman was proceeded in death by his father and mother, one brother Russell Boling and one sister Mildred Powell.

Viewing will be Monday, Jan. 28, 5-8pm and Tuesday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at the Davis Family Funeral Home – Walker Brown Chapel, 4201 Nowata Road, Bartlesville, with funeral services Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 3:30 pm, also at Davis Family Funeral Home – Walker Brown Chapel.

Interment will be at the Dewey Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home – Walker Brown Chapel.
