SAPULPA -- SAPULPA - Rev. Harold L. Bell, 79, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, went to his heavenly home, May 15, 2010.

He was born in Teresita, to Rev. Dee Bell and Sibyl Bell on Feb. 15, 1931. He was the second of eight children. He was married to June Rahder on June 13, 1952, at Woodlawn Baptist Church in Tulsa.

He was employed with Norris Sucker Rods as Manufacturing Manager from July 12, 1952, until he retired Feb. 1996.

He established and was the pastor at Eastside General Baptist Church in March 1963. A new church was built in October 1965 where he pastored until his home-going on May 15, 2010. He loved his family and the time he spent teaching them about the love of God.

He is survived by his wife, June; children, Lloyd Bell of the home, Wilma Minton of Tulsa, Keith and Angela Bell of Sapulpa, Sue Ann Bell of Tulsa, and Tracy Bell of Tulsa; grandchildren, Amy Wilson, Andrea Bell, Clinton Bell and Paige Bell; siblings, Rev. Faye Bell of Rose, Dewitt and Pat Bell of Rose, Percy and Marilyn Bell of Tulsa, Bobby and Reba Hix of Tahlequah, Jimmy and Alpha Bell of Tahlequah; Bill and Helen Bell of Coweta; and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Dee and Sybil Bell, and sister Mary Lou Littlefield.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Smith Funeral Chapel, Sapulpa.

A service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at Smith Funeral Chapel in Sapulpa with burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery, Sand Springs.

The family would like to thank Good Shepherd Hospice of Tulsa for their excellent care of our Dad.
