Jerry Glenn Hulin, 65, passed away suddenly Tuesday, Oct., 14, 2008.
Jerry was born Dec. 1, 1942, in Norman to Harper Glenn and Mary Katherine Hulin. He was raised in Pink and subsequently in Tecumseh where he graduated from High School in 1960.
He met and married Sharon Kaye Tipton June 8, 1963, and they graduated from East Central University in Ada. Jerry went on to receive his degree in Hospital Administration from Oklahoma Baptist University.
He worked in many jobs throughout his life in the Healthcare Administration field and in 1988 he formed Preferred Management Corporation with his wife Sharon and his cherished friends and business partners Andrew and Kim Freeman. They will celebrate their 20th anniversary of Preferred Management and all the successes at their annual meeting in Phoenix this November.
Jerry had many passions in life, but his greatest passion was his family. He and Sharon were blessed with two children, Kristi and Todd, and six beautiful grandchildren whom he adored above any imagination. He was a man who went above and beyond the normal responsibilities of a father, a grandfather, a husband, a brother, and a friend.
His other passions were flying, golfing with his buddies, working in the garden, or just working on his many projects, and spending time at the lake. He also loved traveling with Sharon, Kris and Randy or other friends (especially Jonnie and Scott Witt). No matter what activity he was involved in (and he was always involved in many activities, it seems) he always made time to stop, have a beer and enjoy his life.
Jerry will be sorely missed by many including his wife, Sharon; his daughter, Kristi and her friend Randy Gavlik of Tulsa; his son Todd Hulin and his wife Nina of New York; his sister, Donna Stanford of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren, Jake Van Hooser, Brett Van Hooser, Josie Van Hooser, Gabriel Ong-Hulin, Brianna Gavlik, and Cheraden Gavlik.
He is also survived by many more loving family; including Randy, Kay, and Parker Hulin, Shelli, Karli and Glen Shahan, Brad, Ashley and Isabella Gordon, Scott Gordon, Jack and Myra Gordon, Ron and Deborah Brooks, Ron and Mary Jane Hulin and family, Kenneth and Wanda Hulin and family, Lavon and Ruth Hulin and family, and the Washburn family.
The family extends their deepest appreciation for all the prayers and requests that in leui of flowers donations be made to the Bixby North 5th and 6th Grade Playground Fund which will be used for purchasing Playground Equipment for Bixby Middle School.
