Howard Gene Summers, 71, of Tulsa passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in Tulsa.

He was born April 21, 1945 in Tulsa, OK to Jeff Summers and the former Ester Shepard. He had lived most of his life in this area, played the steel guitar and sang country music. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing. Howard was a loving, caring and funny person that loved to live life to the fullest.

Survived by 2 children: Jenny Lee Daniels and her husband Ed of Collinsville and Howie Summers of Tulsa. 6 Grandchildren: Steven Daniels, Chelsea Summers, Ethan Long, Little Howie Summers, Timmy Summers and Ariel Summers, 1 Great-grandchild: Little Anna Stanzas. He is also survived by 2 brothers: Harold Dean Summers of Tulsa and Donald Jeff Summers of Mannford, OK, and 1 sister: Ruby Moreland of Collinsville, OK.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Linda Lucille Summers, 1 daughter: Lucy Long, 5 siblings: G.W. Barnes, Preston Leon Barnes, Jo Ann Robinson, DeWayne Summer and Evelyn Sue Summers.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Collinsville Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Tim Odom officiating.

Interment will follow at the Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville.
