Billy Joe Porter, Sr., 87 of Collinsville, OK passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 in Tulsa, OK from damage caused by contracting Covid-19.

He was born February 20, 1934 in Merrick, OK to Erwin E. Porter and the former Gypsy Pearl Howard. He later married Betty Jean Porter on June 2, 1956. They moved from Guthrie, OK to Collinsville, OK in 1967. He worked for American Airlines from April 3, 1967 to March 31, 1996 when he retired. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge #165 in Collinsville. He was also a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his daughter: Pam Porter and 2 sons: Billy Porter, Jr. and his wife Pamela C. and Jeremy Justin Porter. 1 granddaughter: Brandice Rodriguez and her husband Francisco. 8 Great-grandchildren, Bridget (Sweet Thing) Rebyl Porter, Jeremy Justin Boone Porter, Daniel Rodriguez, Sarenity Rodriguez, , Sebastian Rodriguez, Michael Clark, Tyler Stephenson and Trevor Stephenson and several nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his dog: Rosey.
 

He is preceded in death by his wife Betty Jean Porter. 3 brothers: Eddie, Elmer and Farish and 2 sisters: Margie and Jewell.
 

Visitation will be noon to 8:00 pm, Friday, March 5, 2021 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, the family will be present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
 

Graveside services will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, OK with Pastor Gwen Rowe officiating.
