Deceased Name: OKLAHOMA CITY soldier killed

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Military officials say a soldier from Claremore has been killed in Iraq.

Department of Defense officials announced Thursday that 23-year-old Army Spc. Matthew D.

Hastings died Monday from injuries he received in a non-combat incident in Baghdad.

Officials say he was assigned to the 582nd Medical Logistics Company, 1st Medical Brigade, 13th Sustainment Command out of Fort Hood, Texas.
