Ted R. Kirby November 26, 1929 June 2, 2005 Services will be held Monday, June 6, 2005, 11 a.m. at Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery, for Ted R. Kirby, 75, who passed away June 2, 2005, in Bakersfield. Reverend J. Scott Allred will officiate.

Ted was born November 26, 1929, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, one of the sons of Elbert and Katie Kirby.

He had resided in Bakersfield 61 years and had been self-employed as a plumber until retiring.

Ted was a sports enthusiast. He loved baseball, bowling, pool, and anything else that involved competitive sports.

His survivors include his daughter, Linda and her husband, David Jones of Clearlake, CA; son, Teddy Kirby II of Bakersfield; mother, Katie Kirby of Bakersfield; two brothers, Joe and Bob Kirby of Bakersfield; four granddaughters, Julie, Kari, Karen, and Kristie; five great granddaughters; along with nephews and a niece.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elbert Kirby; and great granddaughter, Alexis Baylee.
