Broken Arrow, OK.-Thomas Leon Johnson, 77, of Broken Arrow, died January 8, 2002, at his home.
Services were held at 11 a.m., Jan. 11, 2002 at the First Presyterian Church in Tulsa, Ok. Burial will be at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Camarillo, CA. Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel of Tulsa was in
charge of arrangements.
Memorials have been established with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 2910 Mohawk Blve., Tulsa, Ok 74110, and the Amercian Legion Endowment Fund, c/o American Legions National Headquarters, P.O. Box 1055, Indianapolis, IN 46202.
Johnson was born Oct. 15, 1924, in Winfield, Kansas, to Margaret Anne (Jenkins) and James P. Johnson of Floral, Kansas. During the World War II he served in the U.S. Navy.
Johnson retired as a manager of quality assurance at the Northrup Corp., now Northrup Crumman, in Thousand Oaks, California.
He resided ion Camarillo, CA, before moving to Eugene, OR, in 1989. He moved to Broken Arrow in 1999 following the death of his second wife, Estella Rammell Johnson, whom he married April 1962.
His first wife, A. Jean (Smith) Johnson, and a son, Richard Johnson, also preceeded him in death.
Survivors include a son, a stepson, a stepdaughter, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
