Paul Richard 'Rick' Hamilton
Dec. 22, 1944 - Mar. 17, 2006

Paul Richard 'Rick' Hamilton was born December 22, 1944 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and passed away March 17, 2006 in Sacramento, California after a lengthy illness.

Rick grew up in the Rosemead area of California and was employed for approximately twenty years with Local Union 1506 in Los Angeles as a construction worker. After relocating to the Lebec area in 1977, Rick was employed by National Cement Company and upon moving to Bakersfield, he became a truck driver, working for various trucking companies in Kern County.

While living in Lebec, Rick was active in Little League baseball and AYSO soccer, serving as Manager and Assistant Coach for his children's teams.

Upon becoming ill, he moved to the Sacramento area. His father, Charles, and brother, Chuck, preceded Rick in death.

Rick is survived by his mother Juanita Hamilton of Shafter, CA; five children, son Paul Richard (Ricky) Jr., and his wife, Alyssa of Fontana, CA; daughters Rachel Hamilton and fiance Kevin Miles; Staci Barnes and husband Doug; and Kati Jo Hamilton, of Sacramento, CA, His son Kevin Hamilton and wife Kristal of Bakersfield, CA., 17 grandchildren as well as three nieces and two nephews also survive Rick 'Papa Big Truck.'

Graveside services will be held March 22, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Fair Oaks Cemetery, 7780 Olive St., Fair Oaks, CA. Viewing, 11:00 - 1:00 p.m. at Russ Monroe's Village Chapel, 7960 Winding Way, Fair Oaks, CA.

A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 24, 2006 at Valley Bible church in Shafter, CA.

Rick will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
