Ralph L. Junger
Nov. 12, 1924 - Dec. 15, 2006
Strangers everywhere lost a friend when Ralph L. Junger, age 82, passed away December 15th, 2006, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born November 12, 1924, in Sands Spring, Oklahoma, to Arnold and Beatrice Junger.
Ralph served bravely in the United States Navy as a Gunner's Mate Second Class (GM2c) during WW II.
On August 4, 1947, he gained a lifelong love, friend and advocate when he was wed to Ruby Joyce Werneke in Arkansas City, Kansas.
Ralph chose well. He spent his final years at home with Joyce, who loved him enough to find the strength to care for him when others would have given up.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce, his daughter and her husband, Susan and Larry Bynum; his daughter and her husband, Mary and Greg Bynum; four grandchildren, Dustin and wife, Lisa, Donald and wife, Jackie, David, and Marley Bynum; three brothers, Arthur, Arnold, and Robert; three sisters, Agnes, Mary, and Anna. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four slblings.
Funeral services for Ralph L. Junger will be held graveside at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 20, at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd. Milt Cole, Senior Pastor at Riverlakes Church, will officiate.
