Ramona Kathleen Diss
November 5, 1930 - December 18, 2005
Ramona Kathleen Diss, 75, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2005 at the Stilwell Nursing Home where she was given kind and attentive care for the past eighteen years.
Ramona was born November 5, 1930 in Tulsa, the only child of Charles Walton Diss and Reba Hair Diss. She was the grand-daughter of the late George and Tillie Diss of Tulsa and of the late Frank Hair and Parlee Nichols Hair Nolan Owens. The late Mrs. Owens was a longtime resident of the Wauhillau and Spade Mountain communities.
Ramona’s childlike spirit and her joy in simple things, brought a smile to the faces of many. She loved her stuffed animals, animated movies and her books. She also enjoyed listening to the many musical groups that entertain at the nursing home.
Ramona is survived by her aunt, Erma Dee Nolan Davidson Trogdon of Loveland, Colo; her uncle Emmett “Rosy” Nolan of Camarillo, Calif; twenty-nine first cousins and their families; and her devoted caregivers at the Stilwell Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three aunts; Birdie Hair Goss, Regenia Nolan Fink and Edith Nolan Padgett; five uncles: Fate Nolan, Linzy “Cooney” Nolan, Bob Nolan, Byrl “Jake” Nolan and Gene Nolan; and three cousins: Billy Bob Goss, Dean Nolan and Rodena Nolan Childress.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2005 at the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel in Tulsa. The services will be conducted by Rev. Daniel Taylor of Kellyville, OK., Free Holiness Church, assisted by Chaplain Bill Holcomb of Trinity Hospice in Tahlequah. Music will be provided by Chaplain Holcomb. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Moore Funeral Home, (Eastlawn) of Tulsa is in charge of arrangements.
