Leota Grohn Clark

Leota Groh Clark passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 in the Methodist Home. She was born March 19, 1912 in Garden City, Missouri to Stella and Robert Groh. Her family of seven brothers and sisters moved to Enid, Oklahoma where she met and married Thomas Gail Clark. Leota and Gail were married for 53 years before his death in 1992. Together they founded Tulsair Beechcraft, Inc. of Tulsa, Oklahoma where they lived and raised their family.

Leota was active in her church, Southside Christian Church, the Women's Association of the Tulsa Boy's Home, the Tulsa Garden Club, the Women's Golf Association of Southern Hills Country Club, and numerous other organizations.

Her greatest joy was her family which includes her son, Tom Clark of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughters, Susie Edwards, Enid, Oklahoma and Anne Sadberry, Shawnee, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Carolyn Powers, Manhattan Beach, California; Julia Edwards Camp, Lubbock, Texas; Clark Edwards, Enid, Oklahoma; Ryan Sadberry and Lauren Sadberry, Shawnee, Oklahoma; six great-grandchildren; and grandson, Thomas Gail Clark, III who preceded her in death. She is also survived by her brother, Neighl Groh of Rowlet, Texas, and sister, Juanita Gildea, Grand Bay, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Pauline Bailey, Pond Creek, Oklahoma; Luana Groh of enid, Oklahoma; Dorrethea Wickline,Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and brother, Everette Groh, Mobile, Alabama.

Leota was a gentle women of faith, love, grace, charity, and hospitality. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be in Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 51st and Memorial, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Saturday, July 23, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the First Presbyterian Church of Enid with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the fund.
