Cecil B. Ward, 91, of Bartlesville, Ok passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 among family at Saint Francis Hospital South in Tulsa. Ok.

He was born Feb. 4, 1922 in Qualls, Ok to Alfred and Orpha Ward. The family moved to Jenks, Oklahoma in 1936.

Ward attended Jenks High School where he participated in woodshop and was captain of the football team. He graduated in 1941.

In 1942 he joined the Army with his cousin, Alan Clark.

He married his high school sweetheart, Dorthene Creekmore in 1943. They had two daughters, Donna & Susan.

Ward moved to Bartlesville, Ok in 1948. He partnered with his brother, Byrl Ward to form Electric Motor Service, also known as Ward Electric in 1949. He left the partnership in 1967 to start Ward Construction. The company provided oil field service and construction and pole line construction. Services covered coops in Arkansas and Texas.

In 1964 he married Shela Bitinis.

Mr Ward resided in Bartlesville until 2010 when he moved to Porter, Ok to be near both of his daughters. Ward was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred & Orpha Ward; One sister Florence Watson; One grandson Jon Cochrane and One granddaughter Samantha Bass.

He is survived by his daughters, Donna Bass and Susan Cochrane; his siblings Byrl Ward, Sarah Slankard, Frances Yager and Everett Ward; his grandchildren Barry Cochrane, Heather Meadows and Austin Murray as well as seven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, February 8, 2013 at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, February 9th, 2013 at 2:00 pm at The Coweta Assembly of God Church in Coweta, Ok. Interment at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow.
