Jo Dyer departed with the angels Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014 in the Walker-Brown Chapel with Reverend Phil Taylor officiating.

Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. in Floral Haven Cemetery, Broken Arrow, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

Wanda Jo Dyer was born June 28, 1940 in Tulsa, OK to Argus and Lillian (Duke) Hale. She married James Dyer on November 14, 1958 in Tulsa. Jo enjoyed all kinds of games, especially board games. She was an avid reader and loved to sing. As a loving grandmother, spending time with her grandchildren were cherished moments. She always remembered everyone's birthday and made sure everyone received a card. But most of all, she loved the Lord.

Jo is survived by her husband of 55 years, James, of the home. One son, James Dyer Jr. of Bartlesville and daughter, LaDonna and husband Don Allen of Norman, OK. She was blessed with five grandchildren: Staci and husband John Wickham, Heather and husband Jeremy Aguilar, Dylan, Jessica, Jaclyn along with two great grandchildren, Willow and Mia. Two brothers: Raymond and Bill Hale, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents and son, Ricky Dean Dyer.
