Funeral Service: 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 7, 2008 at the Leonard & Marker Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Bixby Cemetery officiated by Wendell Tenison.
Mary L. Morse was born on September 9, 1931 in Beggs, Oklahoma to Odis W. Farmer & Leeora (Rogers) Farmer. She passed from this life on November 3, 2008 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years, 1 month & 25 days. Mary was a graduate of Bixby High School where she played on the basketball team. She worked as an assistant for Cottom Veterinary Clinic for several years and also worked at a Boynton gas station, the Bixby Schools cafeteria and the Bixby Nursing Home. She was a member of the Downtown Church of Christ. When she was not working, she loved going to garage sales and spoiling her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Morse on Nov. 4, 1986, 1 daughter; LaDonna Gail Brittain on June 2, 1994 and 2 brothers; Cletus & James Farmer. She is survived by 1 daughter; Marilynn Sanders and husband Billy, of Haskell, 2 step-daughters; Marta Sowers and husband John, of Tahlequah & Claudette Carper and husband Stewart, of Bixby, 1 step-son; Earl Morse of Bixby, 2 sisters; Betty Tenison and husband Wendell, of Wagoner & Juanda Gorbet and husband Bob, of Bixby, 5 grandchildren; Joey & Jamey Brittain, Jeremiah Sanders and wife Julie, Joshua Sanders & Jennifer Sanders Musick, 5 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren; Rashell Pillow, Jason Brown & Bobby Brown and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Casket bearers were Joey Brittain, Jamey Brittain, Jeremiah Sanders, Joshua Sanders, Allan Tenison & Nathan Tenison.
