JUANITA MARIE LAVIN
Services: Wed., Nov. 3, 11 a.m.

Juanita Marie Lavin, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away Saturday, October 30, with her daughter by her side.

Juanita was born March 12, 1918, in Frederick, Oklahoma and enjoyed a healthy, active life until her recent illness. Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 3, 2004, at Hillcrest Mortuary.

Reared in Oklahoma, Juanita graduated from Frederick High School in 1936. She married Russell Lavin in 1940 and together they had three children. For forty years Juanita worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for various companies in Oklahoma, Texas and California. She had been a resident of Bakersfield for the past twenty-five years.

One of her greatest joys was watching her six grandchildren grow and reach maturity. She was also proud of her three children, remarking "Russell and I must have done something right."

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Wallace J. Peters, and her husband of 44 years Russell Lavin. Surviving relatives include her children, Ron and wife, Rochy, Miami, Florida; Tom and wife, Elise, Amarillo, Texas; and Kitty and husband, Greg of Bakersfield; grandchildren, Ron O. Lavin, Linda Lavin, Sandi Lavin, Brian Lavin, Tucker Lavin, and Justin Kendrick; as well as her special great grandchild, Kevin Lavin; also two sisters, Venita Bentley of Enid, OK and Jackie Hyder, Glenpool, OK.
