Lela May, 89 years old, died August 3, 2000, at Sallisaw (Sequoyah County) Oklahoma. She ws born November 7, 1911, in Bokoshe (LeFlore County) Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Sam and Mary (Smith) Bledsoe.
She married William Sherman May January 28, 1932, in McKey (Sequoyah County) Oklahoma.
She is survived by two sons, Bill May of Sallisaw and Robert May; one daughter, Wanda Hughart of Tulsa.
Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 7, 2000, at Drakestand Cemetery, Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Rev. Robert Maxwell, Jr., officiated.
