Elizabeth Marie “Girl” Rangel, daughter of Woodall and Rosia Lee (Sam) Owl, was born December 16, 1964 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life surrounded by loved ones on November 25, 2018 in Tahlequah at the age of 53 years, 11 months and 9 days.


She had a great time telling jokes, was always happy and made people laugh often. She was a homemaker who enjoyed the duties of being a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family.

She would go above and beyond to take care of anyone in need. Elizabeth enjoyed playing Candy Crush, going to yard sales, gospel singings, was a great cook and her family will fondly remember her dumplings and banana pudding.

She was a huge Elvis Presley fan and a member of All Nations Mission Center in Muskogee.


Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; Woodall and Rosia Owl, brother; Woodall Eugene Owl, baby Calderon and several aunts and uncles.


She is survived by a very loving family that includes her husband; Leobardo Rangel of the home in Muskogee daughters; Nina Arenas of Stilwell, Rosita Guevara-Venegas and husband Fernando Venegas of Batesville, Ark., Jolene Rangel of Muskogee, sons; Jose Perez of Muskogee, seven grandchildren; Alina Arenas, Alycia, Alyssa, Ignasio Guevara, Adriana Venegas, Emilio and Christina Guevara, one great-granddaughter; Phebee Duncan.  Siblings; Woodall Owl Jr and wife Shelly Forman- Owl, Cherry Pritchett and husband Brian, Tina Owl, Jennifer Owl, Sabrina Camp all of Stilwell, Angela Fernandez and husband Ismale of Prairie Grove, Ark., brothers-in-law; Andres Rangel and wife Marina Rodriguez, Noe Rangel and wife Maria all of Tahlequah, Guillermo Rodriguez and wife Luciana of Muskogee, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.
 

Funeral services were held Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell, with Bro. Steve Sam and Bro. Joey Ketcher officiating.

Interment followed at Webber Cemetery, Gore.
