Rosia Lee (Sam) Owl was born July 30, 1948 in Sequoyah County OK, to Woodrow Sam and Berniece (Wildcat) Sam.

She departed this life November 23, 2006 at the age of 58 years, 3 months and 22 days at Sparks Specialty Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
 
Rosia and Woodall Owl were united in marriage on July 14, 1967 in Gore, Sequoyah County OK.
 
Rosia was preceded in death by her husband, Woodall Owl; one son, Woodall Eugene Owl; her parents, Woodrow and Berniece Sam; one granddaughter, Shana Reynaga; two sisters, Ruth Ann Guevara and Rebecca Leach and two brothers, Eddie Sam and Woodrow Sam, Jr.

Rosia is survived by one son, Woodall Owl, Jr, and wife, Shelly, six daughters, Elizabeth Rangel and husband, Leobardo, Cherry Pritchett and husband, Brian, Tina Scott and husband, Kevin, Angela Arenas and husband, Ismale, Jennifer Owl and Sabrina Camp.
Other survivors include her companion, Foreman Still, stepmother, Margaret Sam; three sisters, Mary Sam and Dorothy Grimmett and Carrie McKenney; four brothers, James Sam and wife, Kathy, Sampson Sam and wife Sherry, Joe Kaiser and Jimmy Duncan and son-in-law, Steven Camp. Twenty-three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive her.

Chapel services were held Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Marty Ford and Adam Thirsty officiating.

Under the direction of Hart Funeral Home, a committal service was held at Webber Cemetery in Gore with Allison Phillips officiating.
