SHAWNEE, Okla.

Paula Darlene Sawyer was born Oct. 13, 1963, in Seminole, to Paul and Deanna Redding. She went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010.
Paula was a graduate of Wewoka High School and received an associates degree in nursing from Seminole State College. She later worked for Elmwood Nursing Home as an registered nurse. She loved all of her residents and co-workers.
Paula and Jesse Sawyer were married in Seminole, on May 15, 1981, and unto to this marriage four children were born.
Paula loved to go motorcycle riding, spending time at the lake skiing and swimming with her family. She enjoyed watching her kids and grandchildren participate in all of their activities. Paula loved her dogs. She was a member of Mission Home Missionary Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death are her mother Deanna (Arthur) Redding; paternal grandparents, Norma and Dean Redding; maternal grandparents Orby and Pauline Arthur.
Survivors include father, Paul Redding of Wewoka; husband Jesse Sawyer of Wewoka; sister, Shelly Thompson of Quinton, OK; children, Chris Sawyer and wife Mandy of Shawnee, Jessica Treadwell and husband T. J. of Wewoka, Keith Sawyer and wife Tosha of Wewoka and Courtnei Sawyer of Norman; grandchildren, Makenna Sawyer, Carson Sawyer, Kaitlyn Sawyer, Stevie Jo Sawyer, Kendall Sawyer, and Sawyer Treadwell; father and mother-in-law, Judge and Lena Sawyer of Wewoka; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Marsha Sawyer of Wewoka; sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Joe Loeffelholz of Alvord, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Larry Sawyer, Joe Loeffeholz, Cameron Chesney, James Keesee, Ronnie Keesee, and Andrew Keesee. Honorary Pallbearers are David Arthur, Colton Chesney, T.J. Treadwell, Jeff Laughlin, Rex Blaine Powes, and Justin Fleming.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010, at First Baptist Church Wewoka, with Bro. Larry Jones and Bro. Bob Spears officiating, burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
