Chapel services will be held on Friday,
April 9 2004, at 2:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary, for Ida
Marie Hyatt, who passed away April 7, 2004.
Ida was born in
Seminole, Oklahoma, on May 8, 1930, to Cecil and Etta May Hays. She married
Bill Hyatt in 1949 and they lived in Bakersfield, California for over 50
years. She and Bill celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last
October.
Ida is survived by her husband, Bill and their children:
Carla Hyatt; Judy Austin and her husband, Mike; William Jr. and his wife,
Brenda; and Dale Rushing and her husband, Pastor Bill. she is also survived by
nine living grandchildren: Michael, Lauren,Brandon, William III, Benjamin,
Beverly, Daniel, Sarah, and Anna. One grandchild, Melissa, preceded her. Bill
and Ida became great grandparents on February 24 this year to Brandon and Kim
Austin.
She completed her college education and graduated from
California State University - Bakersfield the same year as her daughter,
Carla. She was one of the first to shoot the new popular "glamour" type
pictures in Bakersfield. Ida a loving person to her family and friends. She
wil be greatly missed.
