RAYMOND L. SPOONEMORE
Funeral services for longtime Seminole resident Raymond L. Spoonemore are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. today at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, Seminole.

Rev. Carl Whitfield will officiate the service with Rev. Wade Robertson assisting. Interment is to follow at Little Cemetery with services under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Spoonemore, 89, died Saturday, April 12, 2008 in Shawnee. He was born May 23, 1918 in Seminole, County to Maggie (Reback) and Edward Ambrose Spoonemore.

He served in the U. S. Army and worked as a farmer. On May 23 1951 he married Flossie Lee Moore in Konawa and they have been longtime members of Harvey Road Baptist Church in Seminole.

His parents and two brothers, Cecil and Chalmer Spoonemore, preceded him in death. Surviving is his wife of the home; two sons: Cecil and Larry Spoonemore, both of Seminole; one sister, Ona Woody of Seminole, two grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Pallbearers will be Bob Westmoland, J.P. "Doc" Duvall, Danny Reed, Forrest Weast, Ricky Marquis, and Ted North.

Honorary bears will be Kenneth Lail, George Odor, Gene Knight, Ray Jackson, Joe Holley, and Jack Stach.
