CLAUDIA LEONA PIERCE

The funeral for Claudia Leona Pierce, 92, of Fairview will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Fairview. The Rev. David Mendenhall will officiate. Burial will be 4:30 p.m. in Little Cemetery, north of Seminole. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and at the church prior to the service.

She was born Aug. 1, 1913, in Crawford County, Ark., to Marion and Martha Thomas Darling and died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, at Fairview Regional Medical Center, Fairview.

She attended school in Crawford County.

She married Charles “Charley” Albert Pierce Feb. 25, 1933, in Winfrey, Ark. They moved to Seminole in 1942.

They moved to Cromwell in 1972 and to Fairview in 1987.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Home Demonstration Club in Seminole and First Baptist Church.

Surviving are one son, Ron Pierce of Vernal, Utah; two daughters, Gerry Moneypenny of Fairview and Linda Bouteller of Y ukon; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; one son; a daughter; two brothers; two sisters; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren,

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Fairview O ut-Reach Center or Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
