Shawnee resident Nettie (Lamb) Henderson passed away Thursday Feb. 5, 2009. She was born June 11, 1923 to Charlie Abshire and Claire Vaughn in Chickasaw, Okla. She lived in Shawnee most of her life, and was a member of Crosstown Outreach.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Billy Joe Kennedy; great-grandaughter, Brenda Allen; and aunt, Mollie Weins.
She is survived by her loving companion, Bill Jones; sons, Arnold Kennedy of Shawnee; Lonnie Kennedy and Mary of Shawnee; Charles and Inez Lamb of Henryetta; Roger and Phyllis Lamb of Shawnee; Donnie Lamb of Holdenville; daughter, Violet and Nolan Roberts of Shawnee; 23 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Shawnee with the Reverends John and Bernice Campbell officiating. Burial followed at Little Cemetery in Seminole, Okla.
