Shawnee resident Emmett Wayne Wood, 59, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at his home.He was born June 23, 1948, in Talihina, Okla., to Tim and Dorothy (Lusty) Wood. He attended Central High in Oklahoma City.
Survivors include his wife, Mary of the home; children, Malvin Dorsey, Julia Ned, Steven Dorsey, Richard Dorsey, Donald Dorsey, Billy Dorsey, Anthony Slinker, Karen Slinker, Teresa Wood, Michael Wood; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Darrell Wood and Tim Wood; sisters, Debra Roundtree, Sonja Fixico, Martha Wood, Allison Wood; aunt, Hazel and Uncle Tommy Hawkins; and many other loving relatives and friends.
