JOHN G. DOLES, 29, of Claremore, Okla.; staff sergeant, Army. Doles was killed Sept. 30 when his unit was attacked with rocket-propelled grenades and small-arms fire in the Shah Wali Kot district of southern Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 508th Infantry Regiment in Vicenza, Italy
